Calvary Chapel Ministries

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always  abounding in the work of the Lord, Knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
1 Cor. 15:58, NKJV

Someone once said, “The head grows from taking in but the heart grows from giving out.” At Calvary Chapel Wood River Jesus is the head of the church and the example for each believer. As we are abiding in Jesus, we will bear fruit (John 15:5). As a fellowship we desire to see fruit come from our life as a result of abiding in Jesus. The goal is to provide a vehicle for you, as a co-laborer in Christ, in our Ministries Guide with various ministries to worship Jesus. Our hope is that as you pray about how God may want you to serve, you will develop a godly addiction like the New Testament believers in Corinth who were “addicted to the ministry of the saints”
(1 Cor. 16:15 KJV)

My husband, two small children and I will be moving to hailey mid January. Do you have more information about your church. I have been on the website but failed to find info about your affiliation; evangelical, four square? Also I see a meeting time for women’s bible study and would like more I formation about that as well.

Thank you so much for your time.

      Hi Lisa,
I am sorry I have not responded sooner. I’m new to this and had this email come back to me once. So hopfully this time it will work.
Our church is called Calvary Chapel Wood River which is affiliated with Chuck Smith’s Calvary Chapel Church in Southern CA. We are a non-denominational Bible teaching church and are in the book of Ephesians on Sunday mornings which starts at 10:00am.
Our women’s Bible study meets on Tuesday mornings currently at 8:30. We are going through a book called “Created to be His Help Meet” and are about half way through. Childcare is provided.
We meet @ 7:00 on Wednesday nights for dinner and a time of sharing and prayer. Childcare is not provided.
Thursday nights is the men’s Bible study that meets at 7:00 in our home.
I hope this has been helpful. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi, we are moving to the area at the end of June and I was wondering if you have a VBS? What kind of kids programs do you have? Is women’s and mens Bible study all year long? Thanks for your help.

    • Jeremy says:

Our church does not host the Valley’s VBS it is hosted by Calvary Bible Church in June. And another is hosted by the Church of the Bigwood. We have alot of babies and a few kids so depending on what kids are there we have a a bible story time and play games. Typically going outside during the summer. Our women’s and men’s bible studies do go year round. We look forward to meeting you.
